Notes about Airchecks on this site:

All airchecks on this site are 'scoped' with only the first few and last few seconds of songs included for context. Substantial royalties to the recording industry are the reason why. In order to maintain this free site, scoping the music is an absolute necessity. There are however some WPGC airchecks containing full length songs available at ReelRadio.com (subscription required).

Audio files on this site are all in the .wma file format (Windows Media Audio). To hear them, you must have a recent version of the Windows Media Player on your computer (you can download the correct version for your operating system, including Macs, for free here).

Some airchecks on this site (the ones that an exact day / month / year is known) first go to another explanation page describing what's heard on the tape and utilize an embedded Windows Media Player in them which will start playing the audio automatically when the page opens.

On pages such as these, if the audio doesn't start automatically, Windows may be preventing it from playing. If so, look near the top of the page at the message that says, ''This website wants to run the following add on: 'Windows Media Player' from 'Microsoft Corporation'. If you trust the website, and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here...' Click it, and select 'Run add-on'. If prompted, click 'Run' if you see a window that asks, 'Do you want to run this ActiveX control?'.

Give it a moment to download the file and the aircheck should then start. Incidentally, you should only have to do this once when visiting this site and only on airchecks for which there is an explanation page associated with it. All other airchecks should open normally without either of the aforementioned prompts interrupting your listening pleasure!
