Listen To This WPGC Aircheck

Dave came to WPGC during The Great Strike That Struck Out in May of 1977 from sister First Media station, KYAK in Provo and was hired by Program Director, Dan Mason. Initially he did middays but moved to mornings when Elliott & Woodside departed for Q107 in early 1982. He then inherited mornings, teamed up first with Dude Walker and later Joe Theismann & J. Robert Howe. Today, he is the imaging guru at Z-100 in NY.

Jock switch-overs between shifts were common practive at the time of this aircheck. In the transition with morning man, Jim Elliott, Dave topically refers to the extended rain spell the Nation's Capitol had been experiencing.

That's Dave's voice too on the image artist stopset entry promo leading into the commercials. Listen for an agency spot for Dr. Pepper featuring the Disco diva, herself, Donna Summer. The voice at the end of the Ringling Brother circus spot belongs to newsman, Don O'Dea.

Speaking of Disco, the film, Thank God It's Friday had just been released. Contesting included a movie prize pack consisting of an album, t-shirt & poster.
