Chart Notes: For the first time in 24 consecutive weeks, the Beatles do not have a song in the WPGC Top Ten as 'Love Me Do' (which would go on to be the #13 song of the year on the WPGC Top 100 of 1964) drops from #9 last week. For that matter, there is no song by the Fab Four in the Top Ten at any Washington area station. That would change soon afterwards however. Three weeks later, they would hit #1 again with 'A Hard Day's Night' (which ends the year at #7 on the WPGC Top 100 of 1964).

Elsewhere on the dial, 'Love Me Do' falls out of the Top Ten from #8 at WAVA and all the way from #1 at WHMC.

Lennon & McCartney's presence on the charts is still very much felt as Peter & Gordon's, 'A World Without Love' stays at #2 at WEAM, falls from #2 - #7 at WAVA, re-emerges in the Top Ten at #2 at WEEL but falls from #7 - #10 at WWDC.

Meanwhile, another of their songs, 'Bad To Me' by Billy J. Kramer with the Dakotas makes it into the Top Ten at #9 at WINX.
