Note: Effective with the 10/19/58 issue, the Evening Star changed the lineup of its reporting stations. Just two weeks after dropping WRC's smorgasbord of NBC Network fare for Top 40 titan, WPGC, WARL's Country format found in the far left column was dropped in favor of WFCR's Top 40 format (WARL would become WAVA-AM in 1960, the same year that WFCR (Fairfax City / County Radio) would change call letters to WEEL).

Concurrent with those changes, WMAL's Middle of the Road format in the second column from the left was dropped (surprising, since the Evening Star owned the station) in favor of WEAM's Top 40 format. WEAM would remain a reporting station until 09/08/61 when it was dropped as it went automated, only to become a reporting station again when it went live as of 08/23/63. WEEL would remain a reporting station through 09/19/64 then return again as of the 01/18/69 issue through the final list published by the Washington Star on 05/11/74.
