Listen To This WPGC Aircheck

Milt Grant was heard weekends on WPGC in the early '60's via an early syndication deal that was also carried by WEEL, WINX & WAVA simultaneously. During the 1950's, he had created and produced, "The Milt Grant Show", a dance and variety program which aired seven days a week on WTTG, Channel 5. The show was live and was Washington's most popular program. In subsequent years he moved into TV station ownership and at one time owned Channel 20 in DC. Milt passed away on April 28, 2007 at age 83 of cancer.

This brief aircheck consists of one break, the 'Big Bomb of the Week' stager. Airing at night, the AM had already signed off by the time of this show but was carried on the FM. The Legal ID heard for the FM is from Oakland, MD. The City of License was not transferred to Morningside until January 27th, 1964.
