Chart
Notes: The Beatles
hold on to the top three spots at WPGC with 'I Want To Hold
Your Hand', 'She Loves You' and 'Please, Please Me'
at #1, #2 & #3 respectively.
The three singles are all on different labels with the songs appearing
on Capitol, Swan and Vee-Jay respectively (although
Capitol would later acquire the rights to the latter two).
'I
Want To Hold Your Hand' is frozen in the #1 position at Milt
Grant's Network,
WWDC, WEAM
and WINX
but falls to #2 at WEEL
(where the entire 'Meet The Beatles' album takes the #1
spot!). Sensing Beatlemania
may be a short lived trend, the song plummets to #7 at WDON.
Proving otherwise, 'She
Loves You', stays at #2 at Milt
Grant's Network
and WWDC, moves up to #2 at WINX,
and
up to #3 at WEAM.
The
latest offering from Motown by the Marvelettes,
'He's A Good Guy' moves up to #6 at WDON,
falls to #10 on WUST but does not appear in the Top Ten
at 'Good Guys Radio', WPGC!
In
a strange chart anomaly, no Predicted Hits for any station
are listed this week. The likelihood that every station neglected
to report their pick hit for the week is exceedingly slim. More
likely, whoever called the stations each week at the paper forgot
to inquire what the next sure fire hit would be. As promised though,
the Predicted Hits did resurface the following week.
