Hi there!

Just reminiscing -- 13 years ago, when I was 13, I won a date with the handsomest D.J.-- Jerry G (Ghan) -- picture attached. At that time, Jerry was 26 years old. Now that I am 26, I thought I'd let you know that I'm still here and listeneing to WPGC!!

Love and kisses,

Monica

Mr. Jim Elliott
Radio Station WPGC
Washington, D.C.

Dear Jim,

Who would have ever thought that I, a woman who will be 40 years old on December 1st, would be writing to a morning disc jockey who plays music for 'the young' (almost) expressing how much I enjoy listening to you? Well, here goes! I get up at 6:15 or so and turn you on immediately. My eyes come awake at the sound of your voice. I keep tuned in to your station all the way to Baltimore. I work for four psychiatrists in Baltimore City and have a 40 mile drive each way. Needless to say, you accompany me on my way home from work, too (your station).

Many times I know the answer to the trivia questions and/or the prize package, but alas, where can one go to use a phone in rush hour traffic?

I have two sons who are still living at home and their ages are 22 and 20. They have tried to contact you on several occasions to answer some of the "prize questions", but living in Bel Air where we do, it is impossible to beat all those Washingtonians to the phone. They love PGC as much as I do!

Nevertheless, I just thought you'd like to know that somewhere in Harford County, in good old Bel Air (20 miles north of Baltimore), there is a mom and her two kids who wake up, go to sleep, and on weekends, stayed tuned to your station and love every minute of it.

I must say that you are the best disc jockey I have ever heard. And, since I'll soon be 40, I believe that makes me a qualified expert!!!

Keep on being as nice as you are and as "peppy" in your speech as you are and you'll be around for a long time.

Sincerely,

Jan Kilby

Bel Air, Maryland 22014

PS - Could you play "Send in the Clowns" some morning about 7:30?

Re: Birthdays

Dear Mr. Elliott,

I would like you to announce the birthday of Scott Dunklee on Wednesday, February 8, 1978.

Thank you very much.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that I really enjoy your morning show. My day just wouldn't be the same if it didn't start with your show. WPGC plays the best music, has great contests, and the best disc jockeys in town.

My favorite radio station for seven (7) years now, of course, W-P-G-C.

Sincerely,

Linda C. Williams
Secretary to Dale A. Cooter

Dear Mr. Elliott,

As a recent winner of DAY OFF WITH PAY, I would like to tell you what a pleasant surprise it was. I'm sure you know that it's a thrill for anyone to win, but do you know how exciting it is the next day to return to work and feel like a celebrity? That's what Iwant to tell you about!

Everyone was happy for me. People called all morning to congratulate me and many people I saw in passing said they heard me on the radio and were almost as excited as if they had won themselves. Others made a special point of stopping by to congratulate me. It was a very exciting day.

I want you to know that having a day off wasn't my only reward, the well wishes and congratulations of my family, friends and acquaintances was an unexpected and added pleasure!

Thank you for selecting me for a DAY OFF WITH PAY!

Sincerely,

(Mrs.) Audrey Ford
7508 Wellesley Drive
College Park, MD 20740
