Joe Theismann today

Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann began in early 1982. Scrambling after the unexpected departure of Elliott & Woodside to Q107, WPGC combined Dave Foxx with Joe as 'Foxx & Theismann'. When summer camp came he departed from the show on a daily basis but stilled called in on Mondays & Fridays for his pre and post-game analysis.

Then the NFL strike of 1983 hit and he was back on the morning show, now with Dude Walker & J. Robert Howe. Returning to the Redskins when the strike ended, he led them to a Superbowl win in early 1983.

Following the Superbowl win he returned yet again to WPGC to yet another morning show, this time with Dave Foxx, J. Robert Howe & Glenn Beck.

Today, he is an on-air analyst for ESPN.
