Receiving an award
Dean Griffith #1 (Anthony) was station's first Rock & Roll Program Director and afternoon personality from 1960 until he left the station in 1964 for WMCA, New York.
He took his air name from the Washington Senator's then home, Griffith Park at the insistence of station owner Max Richmond.  Today he is the midday personality at WHLI, Long Island and operates 'Dean Anthony Tours'.
