A Non-Technical Explanation of How to Play Audio Files on This Site

Most audio files on this site are in the .mp3 file format (Windows Media Audio). To hear them, you must have a recent version of the Windows Media Player on your computer.

Which Operating System are you using, Windows or Macintosh?

Windows Users: Download the current version of the Windows Media Player for your Operating System for free here).

Macintosh Users: To listen to Windows Media Audio files through the Quicktime Player on a Mac, try this (not free).

Which browser are you using?

Internet Explorer Users: The Windows Media Player comes with your browser. Audio files should play normally.

Firefox Users: To hear Windows Media files on the Firefox browser, you will also need to download the free plugin here.

Google Chrome Users: To listen to Window Media Files on the Google Chrome browser, you will first need to download Apple's Safari browser for PCs (Chrome is based on Safari) if you don't have it already for free here. Then listen through Chrome.

Safari Users: If you are using Apple's Safari browser on a PC (NOT a Mac) audio files should play without any problem. If you are using the Safari browser on a Mac, try this (not free).

Beyond these suggestions, if all else fails, send a letter to Mr. Sound Off!
